APT38 is a North Korean state-sponsored threat group known for conducting financial cyber operations. It has been linked to the Reconnaissance General Bureau and is associated with groups such as BeagleBoyz and Lazarus. APT38 has targeted financial institutions, casinos, and cryptocurrency exchanges globally, including the 2016 Bank of Bangladesh heist. The group uses a variety of custom malware and has engaged in both financial theft and destructive attacks.
