GALLIUM

GALLIUM is a cyberespionage group associated with the alias Granite Typhoon. Active since at least 2012, it has primarily targeted telecommunications companies, financial institutions, and government entities in Afghanistan, Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Malaysia, Mozambique, the Philippines, Russia, and Vietnam. Notably, it conducted Operation Soft Cell, a long-term campaign against telecommunications providers. Researchers suggest it may be a Chinese state-sponsored group, based on its tools and tactics.
